I've been working with computers in some form or another since my first programming class back in middle school. Fast-forward 40-ish years, through some incredible advances in computing power since the Commodore PET, and I'm currently working for a real estate development company as a Web Developer supporting over 30 sites. Most are WordPress with custom built themes, with a few smaller sites on Laravel or even raw HTML.

I see technology as a way to enhance our lives, whether by automating mundane tasks, entertaining, informing, sharing, or otherwise adding value where its needed. To that end, I enjoy building websites which integrate external data, organize information, or combine features in helpful ways. At work, this means pulling in live data on our rental apartments, analytics tracking, and 3D tours. Personally, it could be anything from a grocery list tool to educational games, or exploring how a web page can interact with the physical world through the browser.

In my free time, I still enjoy exploring technology, whether learning new web skills or building a site for friends or family. All that screen-time does require some time away from a computer though. Even when relaxing, I still enjoy creating in some fashion. That could mean woodworking, leatherwork, photography or any number of other crafts.
